MEET THE DOCTORS
Dr. David Sukoff, D.D.S.
Dr Sukoff is proud to have attended New York University College of Dentistry, graduating at the top of his class. Following NYU, he performed his clinical residency in general and hospital based Dentistry at North Shore University Hospital located in Manhasset, NY. Always having a passion for working with children and adults, Dr Sukoff was proud to return to New York University where he was accepted into the coveted Orthodontic and Dentofacial Orthopedic Residency.
Throughout his career he has consistently been recognized as an Invisalign Premier Provider ELITE, a distinction given to less than 1% of Invisalign certified doctors nationwide. He is also an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, the New York State Dental Association, The Northeastern Society of Orthodontists and the Nassau County Dental Society.
The Sukoff’s currently live in West Hills, New York located on the North Shore of Long Island. Dr. Sukoff is married to his high school sweetheart, Alissa for 17 years. Together, they welcomed their son Josh and daughters Sarah and Rachel into this world.When Dr. Sukoff is not straightening teeth, there is nothing that he loves more than spending time with his family in Laguna Beach, California and Skiing the Slopes of Aspen, Colorado.
Dr. Shira Bernstein, D.D.S.
Dr. Bernstein graduated Queens College with a Bachelors in psychology. She then went on to attend NYU College of Dentistry, where she graduated at the top of her class and was inducted into the OKU Honor Society. She was proud to continue her academic journey at NYU, where she attended her Orthodontic residency and earned a certificate in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. During her time at NYU, she conducted extensive research on white- spot-lesions, which can occur as result of poor hygiene during orthodontic treatment. She explored different modalities to help prevent them, and her work was then published in two Orthodontic Journals.
During her residency, Dr. Bernstein treated many complex surgical cases, and is well trained in the use of mini implants known as- temporary anchorage devices. To her, one of the most rewarding experiences at NYU was having the chance to treat patients with Autism and severe mental disabilities and become a part of their lives.
Dr. Bernstein lives in Lawrence, NY with her husband and three adorable children. In her spare time she loves to hang out with her family and explore museums in NYC.
